Thank you for your interest in River of Life PCA. Attending a new church can be a little awkward. You may have dozens of questions running through your mind. What should I wear? What kind of music do they sing? Where do I take my children? Well, we want to set your mind at ease, so we’ve compliled a list of frequently asked questions about our church for you to read.

If you have any questions that are not answered here, please feel free to contact our church at office@riverpca.org.

When does River of Life Meet?

We meet on Sundays at 10:30am for worship service. We also meet the 2nd Tuesday evening of each month for prayer at 6:15p.m.

What are services like?

Our worship services are Christ-centered and encouraging. Each Sunday, families gather to exalt the Lord together through contemporary music, prayer, scripture reading and relevant sermons.

What should I wear?

There is no official “dress code” for attending River of Life.  Most people dress casually while others dress more formally. The choice is up to you. However, we do ask that the clothes you wear are generally modest in nature.

How will I find my way around?

We have signs posted on our grass directing our visitors to our main entrance. As you enter the church, ushers will be posted near the entrance ways to hand you the worship folder. Signs are posted throughout the building to let you know where you can find the restrooms, nursery and the like. Our ushers are also there to assist you so feel free to ask them any questions if you are not able to find your way.

Are there programs for my kids to participate in?

Yes. We have a nursery program for children two years old and younger. The nursery is available before our service begins.

We also have a Rapids program for children age two through fifth grade. Children are placed in classes according to their age or grade level. Our Rapids’ kids stay in the service with us for a time of praise and worship and are then dismissed to their classes before the sermon begins.

All of our Rapids volunteers have passed a background check  and have been trained to interact with your child(ren). If you have any questions about our Rapids programs, please contact our Rapids director, Kathy Jamison at kathy@riverpca.org or Robert Binion, robert@riverpca.org.

Our Middle & High school students stay in the service with us on Sundays. During the school year, they meet at the church on Wednesday evenings starting at 6:30pm. The children are divided into groups by grade level.

Other activities are planned throughout the year to stay connected with the kids outside of youth group on Wednesdays. To find out more about our Middle School or High School program El Allen, elallen@riverpca.org.

Again, thank you for your interest and we hope to see you soon!
